Performance enhancements of conventional solar still using reflective aluminium foil sheet and reflective glass mirrors: energy and exergy analysis

Many researchers are seeking simple and successful solutions to increase the output from solar distiller. In this research work, reflective mirrors aluminium foil sheet were fixed on inner surfaces of single-slope distiller, leading more water production. The presence distillate permits reflection radiation falling inside basin. Experiments carried out three stills: first distiller is conventional still with black painted walls (CSS-BPW); second (CSS-RAFW); third glass mirror (CSS-RGMW). maximum total drinking productions CSS, CSS-RAFW CSS-RGMW 3.41, 5.1 5.54 kg/m2, respectively. Compared CSS-BPW, production was increased by 68.57% when using 48.57% sheet.
